Description:
Canyon Creek Meadows is a very popular mid-Summer hike. It is the ninth in the Chasing the Blooms hike series. Peak wildflower bloom is typically from early July into late August. We are planning the easier 5-mile loop with 350 feet of elevation gain.
Over 100 plant species have been reported here in July.
When considering signing up for this hike, please review the specifics (e.g., distance, elevation gain, trail surface - gravel, rocky, soft sand, etc.) to determine if this trail meets your fitness level.
Gear: Bring $5 for the driver, $1 for the permit and money for ice cream, water, a picnic lunch, light hiking shoes, layered clothing, personal first aid supplies, and insect repellent.
