The goal of the Sunriver Women's Club philanthropy program is to build a strong network of services to improve the lives of people in our community. The program gives to nonprofits and public schools that provide services in five priority areas (Child Abuse & Neglect Prevention and Intervention, Hunger Prevention, Safe Housing, Education & Youth Development, Physical and Mental Health) and exclusively to people living in south Deschutes County. See the impact of our annual grants here and the cumulative impact since 1999 here. The Sunriver Women’s Club is grateful to all of our members and those in the community who contribute to ensure its success; volunteer or donate.

| The the South County Collaborative was awarded $50,000 on Feb. 3, 2025 to help improve educational outcomes, including graduation rates, in south Deschutes County. The Power of Giving for Education campaign was launched on GivingTuesday 2024 and reached the goal in just 6 weeks. This special fundraising effort was initiated in response to low graduation rates for La Pine High School students. |
| The Hunger Prevention Fund, to combat food insecurity in south Deschutes County, kicked off in May 2023 and continued through March 2024. The campaign raised funds for local food pantries to help offset costs due to increased need and unparalleled food and fuel prices. Funds were gathered and distributed monthly to these organizations. Three local nonprofits received a total of $30,892. La Pine Community Kitchen was granted $15,446, Sunriver Care & Share Outreach got $7,723 and St. Vincent de Paul of La Pine received $7,723 during the campaign. |

Power of 50 for Education Fund In March 2023, the South County Collaborative (SCC) was awarded a $55,586 transformational grant for a new initiative to support and empower youth in south Deschutes County. The SCC emerged from conversations club members had with community members, nonprofit leaders, and school administrators to identify strategies to best assist students and parents in the area. It is a collaborative group of those working with youth to implement the strategies. The Power of 50 for education funds were raised in honor of the club’s 50th anniversary and dedicated to expanding opportunities for local students. |

COVID-19 Nonprofit Emergency Fund
On March 29, 2020, the COVID-19 Nonprofit Emergency Fund began soliciting donations to support nonprofits struggling to provide services to those impacted by the pandemic. Fundraising concluded on May 31, 2021 and all remaining funds were distributed. Over $45,000 was raised for our nonprofit partners. |
 | One hundred women giving $100 each was initiated in September 2018. It enabled club and community members to make a larger contribution for a specific need. It funded two projects at $10,000 each. |
