Paulina Horseshoe Hike

When:  Sept 9, 8:00 am – 3:00 pm

INFO: Meet at HTCC leaving at 8:00 am, drivers will need a NW Forest Pass or America the Beautiful Card, $4 for carpooling.

Description: Features Include rockfall, lave flows and lake views.  This is a shuttle hike, meaning the trail is a one-way hike, and cars need to be left at both ends of the trail.  The trail starts at the Obsidian Flow Trailhead and ends at the Paulina Visitor Center (or in reverse). 

Hike miles: 9 miles with 1600 ft elevation gain.  

Hike Pace: Moderate to challenging.

Central Oregon Wilderness Day Use Permits: $1/person.  Required for this hike June 15-Oct 15.  See above for passes needed per car available on Recreation.com.

GEAR:  Bring sturdy boots, poles, plenty of water and snacks, bug spray, sunscreen, $ for carpooling/day use permit.

If you are cancelling after registration closes on WI, Wild Apricot won’t let you cancel online so contact the leader directly.
