Kayak/Paddle on Wickiup Reservoir POSTPONED DUE TO WEATHER. NEW DATE JUNE 4
When: Thursday, June 4,2026. 9 am - 2 pm. Return to SR approximately 2 pm or earlier if not stopping for lunch. Meet at 9 am at Joanne Trese’s House. Please carpool if possible. Bring $3 for driver if carpooling. This site requires a recreation/day parking permit ($5) or Northwest Forest pass for the main parking lot.
Description: 2 hour paddle with 1/2 hour snack. Easy to Intermediate. Best time to paddle for this location is late spring to summer as the water level can fall drastically and make the boat ramps inaccessible. We will paddle to the right from the launch area and explore the area toward Gull Point and Deschutes River arm. After paddling, optional stop at the Twin Lakes Resort for lunch. Easy to intermediate paddle.
Gear: Required PFD (life preserver), whistle, sun screen, bug repellant, hat, sun glasses, long sleeve shirt, towel, snacks, drinks, dry sac, Invasive Species Permit, money for carpool and lunch (optional).
