Mountain Biking: Roundabout and Besson Day Use Trails

When:  9 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Friday, June 19, 2026

Info/description: Meet at Cardinal Landing Bridge for a 9 a.m. departure.  Parking is available in the village, at the North Store, or across from the member pool on West Core Road. From any of those locations it’s an easy ride to Cardinal Landing Bridge. There is no parking at the bridge.

We will warm up on the Besson Day Use trail out and back (2 miles) and then ride Roundabout. (3.1 miles) Roundabout Loop trail features easy to moderate climbs and descents. It also has rock gardens.  Riders are free to walk their bikes through those.  This will be a moderate-paced ride, but expect to get some cardio on the uphills.  After the ride, we can snack or picnic along the Deschutes.

Before you arrive for the ride, please read the guidelines for group rides here. If you need a visual reminder on commonly used bike signals, it’s available here.

Gear:

Bring your bike, bike lock, helmet (required), sunglasses, layered clothing, shoes for an easy hike, personal first aid supplies, sunscreen, bug spray, water, snacks and a bagged lunch.
