Description:
RILEY RANCH Trails-4.5 miles, 295 feet elevation.
Riley Ranch is a scenic city nature reserve featuring diverse scenery. Along this route, you'll explore fields, rivers, forests, rock walls, canyons, and historical cabin ruins. The Canyon and Sage Flats viewpoints offer higher vantages around the grassy plateau, while the Canyon Loop descends into more varied terrain. Most of the trail is flat, except for the Robin Run, which descends and ascends to the canyon. The hike along the Deschutes River heading north toward Tumalo State Park is breathtaking. The river access points give you amazing views of boulder-filled rapids in the Deschutes. No parking fees. There is a toilet at the parking lot. Best Hiked Jan thru Nov can get warm in summer and fall
