When: Wednesday, July 1, 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Meet at 8:00 a.m. at the Village Bar and Grill parking lot to carpool or meet at 8:30 a.m. at the trailhead. Bring $3 for the driver if carpooling.
Description:
MCKAY BUTTE-McKay Butte Trail 4.0 miles out and back with 675 ft elevation. The trail starts at McKay Crossing campground and is all road. Great view up top. Good, moderately challenging. Takes 2-3 hours to complete Afterward drive up and hike to Paulina Falls .05 miles from parking lot. Requires a parking permit. Best hiked April thru July

Gear: Water, snacks, $ for going out to lunch afterwards (optional), hiking poles (optional), sturdy hiking shoes, layered clothing, personal first aid supplies, insect repellent.
