FALL RIVER LOOP- 4.5 miles with 131' elevation gain in La Pine State Park. The hike takes 1-2 hours to complete. This beautiful loop starts next to the Deschutes River, turns inland, and then reconnects with water at the Fall River. The trail is shaded for the first half and more exposed along the second half. Along the way, there are fantastic views of the Deschutes and Fall Rivers. The Fall River Falls is an especially pretty spot to stop and enjoy your surroundings. Park maps are spread out along the trail, which is easy to follow. Be aware that cyclists and pedestrians share the trail. State Parking pass is required or a $10 parking fee paid at the lot.
