Sunrise Snowshoe (or hike) at Tumalo Mountain
When: Thursday, December 11, 5:30 - 10:00 am
Info: Meet at VBAG to carpool to the trailhead, plan on leaving at 5:30 am so we can begin snowshoeing/hiking by 6:00 am. Sno park pass required for drivers. 12 participants, including leaders.
Description: This 4.1 mile, 1423 foot elevation gain out and back route is consideredchallenging. We will make a slow, but steady climb to the top of the mountain, where wewill provide a warm drink (bring your favorite camping mug) and snacks as we watch thesunrise. This may be a snowshoe or a hike, depending on weather/snow levels. Ifhiking, please bring microspikes in case of ice. Also, there is no warming hut at the top,remember to bring plenty of layers to stay warm while watching the sunrise.
