Get that holiday spirit going with a concert that transitions us from the sounds of fall to the sounds of the winter holidays. The Bend Pops Orchestra is playing its fall concert on Sunday, Nov. 23, featuring a musical playlist of seasonal favorites. Here’s the orchestra’s description:
We're holding onto the magic of fall a little longer with a special concert featuring fall favorites like Night on Bald Mountain by Modest Mussorgsky, In the Hall of the Mountain King by Edvard Grieg, highlights from WICKED, and the lively A Rockin' Halloween.
Once we've embraced the spooky spirit, we'll shift gears and be joined once again by the Bells of Sunriver to look ahead to the winter holidays. Enjoy a festive Christmas at the Movies medley, including Miracle on 34th Street, The Polar Express, Somewhere in My Memory, Making Christmas, and Where Are You Christmas?
Our holiday repertoire also features A Bach Christmas, Santa’s Epic Ride, and Sleigh Ride and A Christmas Festival by Leroy Anderson.
Following the concert, we’ll head to Anthony’s at the Old Mill for an early dinner.
