When: October 15, 2025, 8:00am - 4:00pm
Meet: at HTCC to carpool to the trailhead, plan on leaving at 8:00am so we can begin hiking by 9:30am. Forest pass required for drivers. This hike is subject to obtaining wilderness permits.
This very popular 7.5 mile, 1600 foot elevation gain loop route takes you on a tour of a high alpine meadow, with a bubbling Canyon Creek flowing through it. You'll enjoy spectacular views of the jagged spires of three Fingered Jack. The hike begines at Jack Lake trailhead. There are many points of interest along the way, including wilflower meadows, a glacial pool, and mountain goats. In addition to the view of Three Fingered Jack, you'll also see the Sisters, Washington and Jefferson.

Gear: sunscreen, bug spray, hat, water, electrolytes, lunch and snacks, $5 for carpooling, hiking poles, sturdy hiking shoes, layered clothing. NW forest pass.
