Hearty Soles Six Summit Challenge - #7 Hearty Soles Six Summit's Challenge

When:  Wednesday, September 3, 2025.  7:30 am - 3:30 pm

Meet at the fire station on S. Century at 7:30 am. Park at the North side of the Parking lot. 

Mt. Bailey Trail

Umpqua National Forest in The Crater Lake area. Overlooking Diamond Lake and viewing directly at Mt. Thielson gives hikers awesome views at the top!  The last 1.5 miles are very exposed but grade is considered moderate on well maintained trailhead except for the last steep short section which is exposed to reach the top of this winter snow cat ski mountain.

Distance: 9.8 miles out and back

Elevation gain: 3,152 - 3,225 feet

Difficulty: Moderate - hard

Drive: ~ 1 1/2 hours

Participants: 12

When considering signing up for this hike, please review the specifics (e.g. distance, elevation gain, trail surface - gravel, rocky, soft sand etc.) to determine if this trail meets your fitness level.


Gear:
3 liters water/electrolytes, sunscreen, bug spray, hat,  snacks, lunch, $5 for carpooling or food event afterwards, hiking poles, sturdy hiking shoes, layered clothing, and personal first aid supplies.

On the SRWC website, go to the calendar and click on the event.  Click "Already Registered."  Click "Cancel.” On the APP, go to "My tickets."  Click CANCEL below the time/date.
