Pringle Butte – Round 2
When: Tuesday, June 24, 3:30 p.m.
Info :
I am leading the Pringle Butte hike again for a couple friends who were unable to make it. I am offering this as a make-up hike for the HS Butte Challenge to those you have not been able to do it. I am limiting the sign-ups to 6 additional people, adding to the ones already planning to go.
This Challenge series is to complete 6 Buttes out of 8. You can take photo of yourself at the top of the Butte, date and name the Butte and email the info to Melodee Munckton.
We will meet at the South Century Fire Station, ready to leave at 3:30pm sharp. Please bring $3 for carpooling. A NW Forest or Senior pass is required to park.
Description:
This is a 4.1 mile out and back trail to Pringle Butte with an elevation gain of 741 feet and top elevation of 5000 feet. This trail is partly on an OHV system. The panoramic view at the top is stunning, with a beautiful setting that looks like English Gardens.
Gear:
Bring water, snack, sunscreen, bug spray, hat, hiking poles (optional), sturdy hiking shoes, personal first aid supplies and $ for carpooling.
Co/Leaders: Brigid Kennaday, Bkennaday@gmail.com, Nancy Todd, Tamara Sutela
