Join us for our monthly Luncheon and Program

Topic:  Land and water conservation in Central Oregon 

When:  Tuesday, October 21, 11:30 am - 1 pm, The Grille at Crosswater

Speaker: Rika Ayotte, Executive Director, Deschutes Land Trust

On a mission to protect wildlife, fight climate change and connect people to the outdoors, the Deschutes Land Trust currently conserves 18,742 acres in Central Oregon, including the recently acquired Paulina Creek Preserve. Rika manages the trust’s crucial work through supervising staff and overseeing its operations and finances. Originally from Southern Oregon, Rika has lived in Central Oregon since 2015 and brings a strong background in history, nonprofit management and museum administration. 

A separate member event, at 1:30-3:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, join the land trust on an educational three-mile Mid Soles hike in the Paulina Creek Preserve, followed by a SRWC happy hour at Legend Cider in La Pine at 4 p.m. Registration is required for the hike and opens September 22.

Seating: Limited to 69 members.  

Cost: $32 without dessert and $37 with dessert.  Please reach out to Mary Elizabeth Horan at programs@sunriverwomensclub.org if you need help registering.
