MidSoles Hike:  SWAMPY LAKES LOOP

When: Wednesday, July 23, 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Meet at 9:00 a.m. at the SCF Church parking lot at 18139 Cottonwood Rd to carpool or meet at 9:45 a.m. at the trailhead. Bring $5 for the driver if carpooling.

Description:

A 4.1 mile loop with 616 elevation gain. Average hike time is 1 hour 45 minutes.  This hike is essentially winding through the trees with good amounts of shade (making this a nice summer hike). There are some slightly obscured views of Mt. Bachelor, Tumalo, and South Sister along the loop. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 1.5 hr to complete  Best hiked Summer

When considering signing up for this hike, please review the specifics (e.g. distance, elevation gain, trail surface - gravel, rocky, soft sand etc.) to determine if this trail meets your fitness level.

Gear: Water, snacks, $ for going out to lunch afterwards (optional), hiking poles (optional), sturdy hiking shoes, layered clothing, personal first aid supplies, insect repellent.

May require a parking permit that can be purchased at the parking lot.
