Kayak/SUP Witches' Paddle and H2H Fundraiser

Prepare to cast some spells and enjoy the annual Witches’ Paddle this Halloween—Thursday, October 31st! Dust off your broomsticks (or paddleboards) and don your most enchanting witchy attire for an afternoon of magical fun on the river. The event kicks off from Riverbend Park between 3-6 PM, so feel free to swoop in whenever you can.   https://www.oldmilldistrict.com/event/witches_paddle_2024_halloween/

This event is a fundraiser for MountainStar, one of our grant recipients.  They ask that diapers be donated and there will be a place to drop them off at the launch site at River Bend Park.

This could be a bit tricky with "carpooling".  Since we all have kayaks/SUPS to transport, we should just plan to meet at the launch spot at 3:30 pm.  We can float for an hour or so and then join together for a cocktail at The Flamingo Room  https://www.theflamingoroombend.com/

For those of you who are not inclined to float, participate as a spectator (it's a great event to witness!) and enjoy a cocktail/mocktail at a cozy place.

Leader:  Mary Elizabeth Horan, 310-780-1438

Gear: PDF/life jacket, sun glasses, towel, snacks, water/drinks, dry sac, Invasive Species Permit if kayak longer than 10 feet.

When registering, you will need to  agree to the waiver below:
