Moraine Lake is considered the jewel lake in the 3 Sisters Wilderness, with South Sister looming over a great deal of the hike once you leave the forest and pass through the Lava Flow.

8.5-9 miles depending which descent route leader chooses.  1450 feet elevation gain.  

Meet at So Century North Side Fire Station at 7:30 a.m.  Carpool to head out at 7:45.

Hike is subject to acquiring permits for Rec.gov and limited to 12 including both leaders.  If not able to get 12 permits, the first to sign up will be in line for permits that are available.

What to bring:  water, snacks/lunch, hiking poles, sunscreen, hat, bug repellant, layer clothing, wear sturdy hiking boots.  $5 for drivers and extra $ for a snack stop on the way home. I will also have a cooler in my car for anyone who wants to bring a cold drink
