This month’s guest speaker is Debbi McCune with the Alzheimer’s Association. Debbi is the Principal Broker and Owner of Next Phase Realty in Sisters. Alongside her professional endeavors, she is a passionate advocate for Alzheimer’s awareness and support.  She serves as a volunteer Community Educator and Awareness Champion for the Alzheimer’s Association and a founding member of Living Well with Dementia Sisters, a local non-profit. Debbi’s personal journey as a caregiver for her husband, who was diagnosed with dementia and Alzheimer’s in 2016, fuels her commitment to empowering others facing similar challenges.

For centuries, we’ve known that the health of the brain and the body are connected. But now, science can provide insights into how to make lifestyle choices that may help you keep your brain and body healthy as you age. Join us to learn about research in the areas of diet, nutrition, exercise, cognitive activity, social engagement, and how hands-on tools can help you incorporate these recommendations into a plan for healthy aging.

Menu choices are:

  • Caesar salad with blackened chicken breast

  • Roasted pork tenderloin, rice pilaf, green beans, basil mushroom cream

  • Saffron risotto with asparagus tips and wild mushrooms

Dessert:  New York cheese cake with Bordeaux cherry syrup

Seating: Limited to reservations only.  *Registration starts on February 26, 2024

Cost: $30 without dessert and $35 with dessert.  We will be asking members to pay for monthly luncheons in advance online with a credit card. Paying in advance is necessary to ensure that our meal count is confirmed and helps to save volunteer time, as the treasurers do not have to manage money at the door. We thank you in advance for understanding. Please reach out to Brigitte Bourret at programs@sunriverwomensclub.org if you need help registering.

Reservations are due by March 11, 2024

The Art Meets Wine team is asking members to donate a bottle of wine at the luncheon for the wine wall valued at $20 or more. Last year, the wine wall generated over $2,000 for the philanthropy program!  Thank you in advance for your support.
