Celebrate one of our favorite days of the year, Winter Solstice, with a hike/spike/snowshoe across Cardinal Bridge. Meet at the bridge on Thursday, Dec. 21, at 10:30 a.m. -- this time could move later depending upon the weather. You can park at Nancy Todd's house, 3 McKenzie Lane, just a few minutes from the bridge. We'll come up with other parking options if needed. Ten hikers total. The close to six-mile loop will take us up the road, along the upper Roundabout Trail, then down to the Elko viewpoint and back to the bridge. There's some elevation gain but not huge. Footwear depends upon conditions; poles are a good idea. Bring a snack and water to toast the Return of the Light. Can summer be far behind?

Since this is so popular, we are adding second group of 10 from waitlist You will receive separate email to meet at Debbie Baker’s house at 10:30 am. We will not overlap the other group because we can start at the 1st trailhead rather than the 2nd. 2nd group led by Debbie Baker.
