SHEVLIN PARK LOOP TRAIL

Monday 10/23

4.5 Miles, 291 ft elevation, E leads, Carol McGovern Co-leads. Meet at Village Grill Parking Lot in SR at 8:00 am. No Pass required.  Bring $3 for driver.

limited to 12 hikers.  Bring water, snacks, lunch, hat, sunglasses, bug spray, sunscreen, poles optional. Lunch to follow in Bend (optional)

Shevlin Park is located just a few miles from the heart of Bend and is a great go-to place for locals to come walk, trail run and mountain bike after work and on weekends. This is a special local favorite in October because Shevlin Park is one of the few places in Oregon where you can see larch trees, which have needles that turn yellow in the fall. Shevlin Park has about 50 developed acres where you will find well signed walking, hiking and mountain biking trails through beautiful Ponderosa and lodgepole pine forest and along Tumalo Creek.  Shevlin Loop Trail which is a beautiful trail that takes you through old growth ponderosa pine, follows the canyon rim and crosses Tumalo Creek twice.

We are testing a new way to register for Hiking Activities. Click on the link below to rsvp and complete your waiver and emergency contact information.
