Miller Lake Hike & Kayak  Hike length 5.5 miles around the lake with 353 elevation gain.  Kayaking can be any length- we will be kayaking around the lake as we feel that day. Probably go more by time - an hour or so?

Kayaking is optional - people are welcome to do the hike and leave afterwards - plan your carpooling appropriately.

Wear good hiking shoes, it is a trail. May be some muddy places from water still running off the mountain, but no wading thru water. Poles are optional. Bring water, snacks and a lunch. Also sunscreen, and mosquito repellent and $5 for carpool driver(s).

If kayaking don’t forget your paddles and life vest! Extra water, sunscreen and snacks too.

The drive to the lake is 50 miles from Sunriver to the turn off to the lake near Chemult. Then another 12 miles down a gravel and dirt bumpy road, so must be taken slowly. Plan on an hour and a half driving time.

Meet at Holy Trinity church at 8 AM ready to roll so we are hiking before it gets too hot.
