Gray Butte Wildflower Hike via Cattle Gate Trailhead.  May 23, meet at Holy Trinity church parking lot on east side by 8:45 a.m.

This 5.2 miles hike has 1,456 elevation gain.  Generally considered a challenging route & takes about 3.5 hours to complete the loop hike. The Pyramid that looms behind Smith Rocks is our destination.

Awesome panoramic views, steep to the top and down and will be an option to hikers wanting to ascend to the top. If some hikers only wish to do the loop around the butte; you get the views either way as the entire trail is like one continuous viewpoint. Wildflowers should be abundant in May.

Hiking Boots Please; no tennis shoes, hiking poles recommended. Lunch & snacks & plenty of water recommend: electrolytes in your water.
