Hearty Soles Hike

4 in 1 CONE off McKenzie Pass in 3 Sisters Wilderness 7 is a PERMIT hike. This was scheduled in August but cancelled due to thunderstorms. Kathy Rafish at kathyrafish@comcast.net email is the leader. Kathy will obtain permits for hikers but you must contact her BEFORE September 17th to obtain the exact number of permits an hike is contingent on obtaining these permits. Trip details: 9+ miles and 1500 feet of gain over 4.5 miles. The hike includes Old growth forest, lava flows ending in a large meadow with a final steeper climb to the cone ridge. Great views of the No. & Middle Sisters and various volcanic cones. Meet at HTCC parking area at 7am and bring sturdy boots, poles, plenty of water and snacks, lunch, sunscreen with ice cream treat in Sisters. Bring money for permit $1, gas $6, and treat money. This is an all day hike trip time wise.
