Hearty Soles hike

AUGUST 9: 4 IN 1 CONE: Trail off the McKenzie Pass into the 3 Sisters Wilderness and TH requires a PERMIT which hike leader Kathy Rafish will obtain for hikers on July 30th so PLEASE RSVP prior to that date so correct number of permits may be obtained. Trip Details: 9 miles, gain 1,500 ft over approx. 4-1/2 miles. The hike begins across the road from Scott TH parking lot through Old Growth forest & lava flows, ending in a large meadow with a final steeper climb to the cone ridge. Hike time 4 to 4.5 hours. MEET at HTCC east parking area at 7:00am wear hiking boots, bring poles, plenty of water, sunscreen, snacks & lunch. Ice Cream treat in Sisters. Encountering snow is a possibility.
