Hearty Soles Hike

June 9 Wild River

HIKE DETAILS: Hikers meet at Fire Station at SOUTH CENTURY DRIVE outside of Sunriver. Follow leader Drive for 15 minutes on So. Century To cut off road to park 2 vehicles to get hikers back to Lapine State Park. Then continue to follow leader to Lapine State Park & leave remaining cars at dog park area. Hike through to Wild River as hike follows the Big Deschutes River. Easy beginning hike for warm up for hiking higher elevation later in season. 
Views of River, log jams, Eagle  Nest that is occupied so no getting too close unless with binoculars, lovely meadows & tall Ponderosas. Fairly even & light level up back to cars.

STARTING POINT: So. Century Fire Station on North side of their building.
WHEN: June 9 at  9:15 - 4 1/2 hours appx.  7 miles 
BRING: Lunch, or snacks, water. Poles not necessary but I always bring mine.

The Sunriver Women's Club (SRWC) is a  501C (3) nonprofit community service organization that welcomes members from Sunriver and the surrounding communities. 

The essence of the SRWC is to be a caring partner to our neighbors, nonprofits in south Deschutes County, local businesses and visitors.
