Speaker:
Naomi Serio
Rethink Waste Program Coordinator
The Environmental Center
Bend, OR
Naomi Serio is the Rethink Waste Program Coordinator at the Environmental Center, where she focuses on educating the community about waste-related issues. Her professional background has focused on research and education related to society's relationship with the natural world.
The Rethink Waste Project (RWP) envisions a community that understands the upstream and downstream impacts of using Earth's resources and makes responsible decisions about the consumption, use, and disposal of materials. The presentation will focus on the importance of reducing, reusing, and repairing, as well as an overview of local recycling guidelines.
Menu choices:
- Fettuccini Bolognese, parmesan cheese, Garlic toast
- Caesar Salad, creole blackened chicken breast
- Chickpea penne pasta, creamy spinach, fried garlic, smoked onion, sundried tomato, Manchego cheese
Dessert: Flourless chocolate torte, caramel, powdered sugar
Seating: Limited to 69 members.
Cost: $30 without dessert and $35 with dessert. We ask members to pay for monthly luncheons in advance online with a credit card. Paying in advance is necessary to ensure that our meal count is confirmed and helps to save volunteer time, as the treasurers do not have to manage money at the door. We thank you in advance for understanding. Please reach out to Mary Elizabeth Horan at programs@sunriverwomensclub.org if you need help registering.
*Registration opens January 27, 2025 and closes February 13, 2025.
