About the SRWC Philanthropy Programs
Merriam Webster Dictionary The SRWC philanthropy program awards grants to local nonprofit agencies with the goal of providing a strong network of services that will improve the lives of the most vulnerable citizens in our south Deschutes County community. Since 1999, the SRWC philanthropy program has awarded over $771,000 to programs providing services to women, children, families and seniors in our south Deschutes County community. The Sunriver Women’s Club is proud of its philanthropy program and grateful for all of our members who contribute time and/or money to ensure its success. If you would like to find out more about volunteering with our fundraising events, volunteering with one of our nonprofit partners or donating to one of the philanthropic programs listed below, please follow the links. The SRWC Community Grant Program The Community Grant Program supports organizations and programs that provide essential services in south Deschutes County. In 2021, the SRWC awarded $58,413 to 16 non-profit organizations with grants ranging from $1,250 to $5,000. Click here to read about our Community Grant Program and view this year's recipients. Click here to read about our Power of 100+ program and recipients The COVID-19 Nonprofit FundOn March 29, 2020, the SRWC set up the COVID-19 Nonprofit Emergency Fund, soliciting donations to support nonprofits struggling to continue to provide much needed services to those impacted by the virus, isolation, job loss, etc. during this difficult time. Over the course of the pandemic the SRWC raised $45,833 to support our nonprofit partners. Fundraising concluded on May 31, 2021 and all remaining funds were distributed.
