The Winter Wear for Kids program starts in October and runs through February. For 2021/2022, we are working closely with the FAN advocates in the Bend-La Pine Schools located in south Deschutes County. This will enable us to donate exactly what is needed for elementary, middle school and high school students.
This year year we are asking for the following items:
  • Snow pants (Children’s size 5-12)
  • Sweatpants (Children’s sizes 5-12 and adult sizes S-XL)
  • Hoodies for middle school and high school (adult size S-XL)
  • Waterproof gloves/mittens in children’s sizes.
The clothing items can be new or gently used. Monetary donations are also appreciated. For complete details on where items can be dropped off or monetary donations made, please email Kelly Winch  at
Online monetary donations can be made on the Donate page.
  • Soap Collection:  Members are encouraged to bring a bar of soap to SRWC gatherings and activities.  The soap is then donated to Care & Share to distribute in monthly food boxes.  Please contact Nancy Fischer at
  • Sunriver Knitters: Sunriver Knitters work on individual projects, share information and enjoy fellowship. Their service project is knitting Chemo Care Caps for the Infusion Center at Bend Memorial Clinic, St. Charles Hospital Infusion Center and St. Charles Radiation Center and making winter hats and scarves for the Three Rivers Elementary school's Winter wear gift program.
