BLACK Butte Hike     Thursday, July 18th

Meet at Holy Trinity Church at 8:00 am

Return to Sunriver approx. 3:00 pm

1560 foot elevation gain, 4 miles roundtrip.  

The hike is dry and can be warm.  Be sure to bring plenty of water. The trail starts at a moderate climb and continues until reaching the top of the butte. Near the summit there are gorgeous sweeping views of Mt. Washington and other Cascade peaks. At the butte's summit there are signs indicating the names and elevations of the prominent peaks. Definitely worth the climb!

NEED TO BRING:  bug spray, sunscreen, lunch or snacks, trail runners or dedicated hiking  boots, sun hat, hiking poles recommended, recommended water to pack 2 liters (this depends on temperature on hike day), $3 for driver for gas, money if you want to stop for Ice Cream
