Afternoon Delight Trail Ride    Monday, June 3, 2024

Afternoon Delight is an intermediate ride with optional technical features (log ride, jumps, etc.) that can be accessed from Sunriver through the Roundabout trail. We will ride to Forest Road 41 and have a snack before continuing on the Afternoon Delight Trail to its end.  We will then ride forest service roads to the Slough Meadow Day Use Area where we will have lunch. We’ll continue by riding the Deschutes River Trail back to Sunriver.  Expect two hours of riding time with ascents, descents and small rock gardens.

We will meet at the COTA Trailhead kiosk just past the Cardinal Landing Bridge in Sunriver.  If you are driving to the ride, park at the lot on the canoe take-out road by the start of the Sun-Lava trail and ride your bike to the meeting place (map link: https://acrobat.adobe.com/id/urn:aaid:sc:va6c2:1dfd21f3-be03-4330-9743-abf177948bdb).

The arrive-by time is 9:00 a.m. and the roll-out time is 9:15 a.m.  We will end the ride at the canoe take-out road parking lot at approximately 1:00 p.m.

The total distance is 11 miles with a 596 foot elevation change. Click on the link below to see a map and elevation details.  https://www.trailforks.com/ridelog/planner/view/454054/
