Central Oregon Locavore was founded in April 2009, with the mission to educate our Central Oregon community about the benefits of fresh and nutritious food produced sustainably by local farmers and ranchers.

The non-profit was founded by Nicolle Timm-Branch, a Bend native and a registered nurse at St. Charles in the Family Birthing Center currently, but her real passion is learning and teaching about the healing power of nutrient dense foods and nutrition.

She will talk about how and why she started Locavore, what Locavore is, and how you can get involved.

Menu choices are:

  • Iceberg wedge salad with ranch, parmesan, bacon, cucumber and smoked steelhead

  • House made elk chili with Vermont cheddar cheese, chive, sour cream

  • Stuffed acorn squash with rice pilaf, garlic butter and micro greens

Dessert: Marion berry cobbler with vanilla ice cream

Seating: Limited to reservations only.  *Registration starts on January 22, 2024

Cost: $30 without dessert and $35 with dessert.  We will be asking members to pay for monthly luncheons in advance online with a credit card. Paying in advance is necessary to ensure that our meal count is confirmed and helps to save volunteer time, as the treasurers do not have to manage money at the door. We thank you in advance for understanding. Please reach out to Brigitte Bourret at if you need help registering.

    Reservations: Use this link:

Reservations are due by February 12, 2024

The Art Meets Wine team is asking members to donate a bottle of wine at the luncheon for the wine wall valued at $20 or more. Last year, the wine wall generated over $2,000 for the philanthropy program!  Thank you in advance for your support.
