Midsoles Hike - Doris Lake and Blow Lake

Doris Lake and Blow Lake 4.8 miles in and out, 416 ft elevation gain.  The elevation at the trailhead is 5,310 feet and you pass through subalpine forest on your way to the lakes. Blow Lake is 45 acres in size. Windfall trees form a frame along one edge of the lake and can be seen resting on the bottom of this clear lake. Doris Lake, a mile and a half away, is slightly larger at 69 acres in size.

Limit 12 hikers total, non-permitted.  Meet time 7:30AM at Village Bar and Grill parking lot.  Forest pass or America the Beautiful pass needed.  

E Faoro will be leading this hike.  Please bring water, bug spray, sunscreen, hiking poles (optional) and hat. Lunch at Elk lake afterward (optional).  Also bring $3 cash for carpooling.
