As I write this, Mother Nature is reminding us that winter is not over and rolled in with very cold temperatures and snow in late February. No complaining as we need the precipitation.
Our first fundraiser of the year is one of my favorite events…Art Meets Wine in the High Desert. You will notice this event has a new name this year and I love it! The team of Brooke Copeland, Kendra Schreiner and Kate North are putting together a combination event of virtual wine tastings and an in-person event. The virtual events will start on May 9 with the in-person event on May 14. This gives many of you the opportunity to support our philanthropy program while enjoying wine and bidding on art. I hope you plan to join us and invite your friends. They are also looking for volunteers. Go to Your Gift of Time on our website where all the volunteer opportunities are listed.
With so many homes being sold in Sunriver and the local area, do you have a new neighbor that would be interested in the SRWC? Invite them to join the SRWC. We love new members.
Speaking of new members, I loved the number of new members that attended our February luncheon. What a treat for a long-time member like myself to see so many new faces. The program, as always, was fun and our speaker was an amazing woman. Our March luncheon will be sweet with Randi Holms from Holms Toffee as our speaker. Do you think we will get to sample? Remember, luncheon reservations always open on the first of the month. Masks will be required until you are seated at your table.
As always, keep reading for further details on all our events and fundraising opportunities.
Thank you for “50 Years of Steppin’ Up for Friends, Fun and Philanthropy”!!!
