The leaves are changing color and the SRWC is making changes also. We have updated our logo, which you can see on our website and email communications. Another change is that we held our first full in-person event since February 2020 and it was so nice to see everyone, even with masks on!
It was windy and a little cool, but the Welcome Event was a success. We had 62 people in attendance, 4 Past Presidents and many new, prospective, and long-time members. I want to personally thank Past Presidents Lana Benish, Carol Cassetty, Martha Deuchler, and Nancy Farnham for attending the Welcome Event. It was nice to see you all and recognize each of you for your contributions to the SRWC.
October kicks off our luncheon season with an in-person lunch at Crosswater. All the details are in this newsletter. I am looking forward to the wonderful programs Laura Sherar, Programs Director, along with her team, Ann Juttelstad and Allyson Thompson, have put together for us.
Have you always wanted to know a little more about our members? We have a new article in the newsletter, “Know Your Members”. Each month there will be an article on a member. You might find out you grew up in the same town or you have hobbies in common or have traveled to the same areas of the world. If you have a member in mind that you would like to learn more about, please submit her name to Communications at communications@sunriverwomensclub.org.
As always, keep reading for further details on all our events and fundraising opportunities. Thank you for “Steppin’ Up for Friends, Fun and Philanthropy”!
